Abstract :The purpose of this research paper is to evaluate the learning organizational level in the manufacturing sector of small and medium enterprises. The process of learning takes place at all levels of organizations that may be at individual level or team level or organizational level. In this study it is determined that what are the variables that have influence on supportive learning environment and to judge whether these variables are implemented in the manufacturing sector of small and medium enterprises or not. Supportive learning environment is a main building block of the learning organization. Different variables are used to find out the effect of this block. The average of the means of specific variables that cover specific elements is taken as the score and is compared with the scores given by David A. Garvin. Result suggests that the small and medium enterprises follow the learning processes but not properly. |

Abstract :Learning is necessary for the organizations in the changing environment. In Pakistan the concept of the learning organization is rising. The objective of the study was to analyze the "supportive learning environment" in the banking sector of Pakistan. Supportive learning environment have four different dimensions. These four dimensions have eighteen variables for which the mean were calculated. Self administered questionnaire was used as a tool for collecting the data from the employees. Arithmetic mean and reliability statistics were applied for analyzing the data by using SPSS. Openness to new ideas was needed some improvement as compare to other three aspects of the supportive learning environment which were in the better positions. |

Abstract :The purpose of this study is to compare the learning attitudes of public and private sectors in Pakistan. To check and compare the learning attitudes of public and private colleges, response from 50 respondents was taken. The questionnaire was taken which was developed by Marsick and Watkins. The null hypothesis (H0) is that the both type of colleges have equal level of learning attitude while H1 opposes our null hypothesis. Mean values were taken for comparison. Results show the extent of learning as higher in private colleges than the public ones. |

Abstract :Tacit knowledge represents a key dimension in the concepts of knowledge management. This study explores the important factors relating to the sharing of tacit knowledge. The scope of the study was the education sector as knowledge is shared in class room environment on regular basis. Most of this sharing depends on the tacit dimension of knowledge held by the teachers. Researchers have found a number of factors acting as barriers and obstacles in the tacit knowledge sharing process. This study was aimed at identifying those barriers and reviewing their relationship to tacit knowledge sharing in the class room environment. All respondents accepted that there are many factors that resist tacit knowledge sharing activity in class room environment. There are several obstacles in sharing knowledge in class room environment. This situation can be improved by handling barriers like language, perception, time friendly interactions and discussions and organizational culture. |

Abstract :The competition within the mobile market is increasing day by day in Pakistan. The rapid changes in the technology are the challenge for the companies to satisfy the customers and to get their loyalty through innovative products. Purpose of this study is to investigate the benefits (customer satisfaction and loyalty) and cost (customer dissatisfaction) associated with innovation. These benefits and costs are investigated through analyzing the relationship between the innovation, customer satisfaction, and brand loyalty. The hypothesis was developed through literature review and data was collected through questionnaire from 85 university students, received questionnaires were tested through simple linear regression and correlation for appropriate findings. The results described the significant relationship of innovation with customer satisfaction and brand loyalty. This also showed significant relationship between the customer satisfaction and brand loyalty. The studies on mobile market in Pakistan are conducted at minor level and this study has uniqueness in investigation only students as a mobile users market. This provides the way to marketers in targeting a specific class of mobile consumers, a way to conduct the research on the bases of these variables in other classes of mobile users. |

Abstract :The purpose of the study is to examine the relationship among learning factors and organizational learning, also extent to which these cast positive or negative impact on learning level of banking sector of Pakistan. In order to fulfill this purpose dimensions of learning organizations (DLOQ) by Marsick and Watkins (2003) are taken. This gauges the performance of organizational learning by two outcome variables knowledge performance and financial performance. Seven dimensions and two outcome variables are measured by 32 items on six point Likert scale. Sample size of this study consists of 65 respondents. The findings of this empirical study draw the inferences that seven dimensions of DLOQ have significant positive relationship with organizational learning and these factors enhance, positively, learning in organizations. |

Abstract :Performance appraisal plays a vital role in human resource management system. It is used by organizations for the provision of development programs, reward allocation and also to provide fairness perception to employees about their tasks, jobs, organization, managers, and departments. It is a continuous process through which communication is affectively made between supervisors and employees of an organization. Job satisfaction of employee is necessary for increasing performance of work (Suliman, 2007), the employee need a good performance appraisal system for enhancing work performance. The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship of organizational justice (Procedural justice, distributive justice and interactional justice) with work performance with the mediation of performance appraisal satisfaction. The correlation and regression was used to analyze the variables and the results show that there is positive and significant relationship between organizational justice and work performance in manufacturing firms of Pakistan. There is also mediation of performance appraisal satisfaction and it enhances the work performance if present. The fairness perception of employee in performance appraisal process is most important factor which increase work performance of an employee in a particular organization. |

Abstract :The impact of personal factors on academic and professional preferences has been the topic of a number of researches. But there is a dearth of studies on comparative analysis of such traits with reference to academic choices of business and non-business students. This study aims to identify if gender and personality explain difference in business and non-business students’ academic programs choices. 254 undergraduate students from schools of business and economics (business) and schools of engineering and technology (non-business) responded to this survey. Results revealed the significant impact of big five personality traits on students’ selection of business or non-business degree programs. Students from business major scored high for extroversion and emotional stability, but they scored low on agreeableness, conscientiousness, and openness. The difference in business and non-business academic preferences in terms of gender was also found significant |

Abstract :The objective of this paper is to examine the supportive learning environment between manufacturing and service sectors of Pakistan. For this purpose four elements of “supportive learning environment” have been studied which are further divided into eighteen variables provided by Garvin, Edmondson et al. (2008). Original questionnaire is used to collect data from manufacturing as well as service sectors of Pakistan. For the evaluation of results arithmetic mean and factor analyses were applied. To ensure the reliability of data Cronbach’s Alpha value was measured. Results show that supportive learning environment is better in service sector as compare to manufacturing sector of Pakistan. |
